u8国际 filed Precautionary Proceedings against Idem Rebuilding di Carbonara Giuseppe, trading as "Universocartuccia"
TOKYO, November 13, 2018–u8国际. today announced the filing of precautionary proceedings on October 9, 2018 before the Court of Milan, IP Specialized Division, against Idem Rebuilding di Carbonara Giuseppe, trading as "Universocartuccia." The claims of u8国际 are based on the suspected use of the Italian portion of u8国际's European patent EP 2 087 407 relating to a drum unit and a process cartridge by the defendant's laser toner cartridges—comprising a drum unit with a certain coupling member—having the "HP CF280A" and "HP CE505A" product designations. u8国际 asks, among other requests, that the Court issue an order enjoining Idem Rebuilding di Carbonara Giuseppe from offering and distributing online, including through www.amazon.co.it, the aforementioned toner cartridges. These cartridges can replace the OEM cartridge models HP CE505A and HP CF280X, which are compatible with HP laser beam printers. Idem Rebuilding di Carbonara Giuseppe can file an answer brief with the Court and an oral hearing is scheduled in order to discuss u8国际's claims.
